Meal Charge Policy

401.10 Meal Charge Policy  If a student’s meal account is inadequate to pay for a meal, the school will provide a full meal to the student and the cost of the meal will be charged to the student’s account.  Parents will be notified by mail when their student’s account is in a negative position at the end of a month.  Parents may apply for free or reduced price lunches at any time of the year and free and reduced price applications may be found by logging in to your Aspire contact account.  Paper forms are available at the District Office or you can contact the School Principal or Food Service Manager at your child’s school.  The food service manager at each school is available to help parents apply for free and reduced price lunches.  The food service manager may arrange for repayment of delinquent charges.  If a student’s meal account is not made current by the end of the school year and repayment of delinquent charges has not been arranged, collection efforts will be pursued.  A copy of this meal charge policy, along with an application for free and reduced price meals, will be available on the District web page.
